IRON MIKE
DAVIS JR
2006 USA Mosconi Cup Team Member.
300+ Tournament Victories. Two-Time Reno Open Champion.
Now offering private one-on-one coaching across North Carolina. Learn the same techniques that built one of the most consistent careers in American pool.
Not Just Lessons.
A Competitive Edge.
Most instructors teach you how to hit balls. Mike teaches you how to win matches. His coaching is built on decades of professional competition ΓÇö not textbook theory.
Elite Tournament Experience
Mike represented the USA at the 2006 Mosconi Cup alongside legends like Earl Strickland and Rodney Morris. He's won the Reno Open twice, claimed titles on the Joss Northeast, Action, Mezz, and Poison tours, and finished runner-up at the 2011 World 14.1 Tournament. This isn't a weekend warrior ΓÇö this is someone who's performed under the brightest lights in pool.
The "Iron Mike" Method
Known for his relentless grinding style, Mike breaks down every aspect of your game: pre-shot routine, stroke mechanics, cue ball control, pattern play, safety exchanges, and the mental composure that separates league players from tournament winners. He'll film your stroke, identify leaks, and give you drills that produce measurable results.
Three North Carolina Locations
Train with Mike in Greensboro, Raleigh, or Wilmington. Each location offers professional-grade Diamond tables and a focused training environment ΓÇö no distractions, no bar noise, just dedicated table time with one of the best players in the Southeast. Evening and weekend sessions available.
They Call Him
Iron Mike.
Mike Davis Jr has been a fixture on the American pool circuit since the early 2000s. Born January 13, 1975, he earned the nickname "Iron Mike" for his unshakeable composure and grinding, never-quit approach to the game.
His résumé speaks for itself: member of the 2006 USA Mosconi Cup team (the historic 12-12 draw where the Americans retained the cup), two-time Reno Open champion, 2011 World Straight Pool runner-up, and over a hundred regional victories across every major tour in the country.
Based in North Carolina, Mike now channels that championship experience into private coaching. His philosophy is simple: every player has leaks, and every leak has a drill.
